Start today. Ireland will play New Zealand in Chicago of all places. Looking forward to all the games but are they just 'friendlies' and money makers in the professional era?

    Merciful  Heavens,  Wales  battering  away  at  the  Green n' Gold  Devils  for  5mins  or  so  then  1  little  error  and  THWACK  !!  another  try  for  Aussies.  Now  if  they  had  somebody  who  could  kick  they  would  be  long  time  out  of  sight
    !

    Well, South Africa only just scraped a draw in the closing moments! We'll don the Barbarians.

    What a fabulous effort and result for Ireland. Surprised When did they last beat New Zealand?

    Their 111 year wait is over! Ireland have never beaten the All Blacks, they managed a draw in 1973 and came very close in 2013 (they were winning 22-17) but conceeded a penalty with less than a minute of the game remaining. The Blacks still had to get to
    the other end of the pitch and finally managed a try 2 minutes into overtime which was converted! 

    So this win is a momentous occasion, even if the All Blacks were probably not at their strongest (I wonder if Messers Carter & McCaw would have made any difference!?!??)

    Sorry but it was Men against Boys in the Welsh game.Lucky it was not a cricket score. Where now!!

    Great weekend for watching games. Just a pity that the England game is on Sky, so I'll only see the highlights after the other 2 games on Saturday.

    Great game going on at the moment - Scotland v Australia. Missed the first 5 minutes (still out with the dogs) but have already seen 2 superbly worked tries, one for each side. If it carries on this way it'll be some match! Happy

    The Scotland/Australia game was well worth watching, and although the Wales/Argentina wasn't in the same class it was exciting towards the end with the scores being so close. England came out on top against S.Africa, the first time in 10 attempts, and scored
    some great tries too. Their game against Australia in a couple of weeks time should be a belter.

    Yes really looking forward to England v Australia. Thought England were the strongest of all teams performing this weekend. Felt for the Scots, just a score away, shame they couldn't hold on!

    So, Wales were fortunate and involved in a typical Argentinian muscle fight which was not particularly entertaining.  Scotland, once again, looking good but can still only play for 75 minutes (it used to be 60) and have not got the ability to close out important
    games. England won convincingly (apart from first 20 minutes) both sides not at full strength. Ireland second XV would expect to beat a minor country. Looking forward to next weekends' encounters and fully expect a really entertaining game at Twickers! :)

    Not really excited about this weekends games on TV but would really like to see the Ireland/NZ game....can they beat them again? Englands game against Fiji should be a high scoring one.

    Well both the Wales v Japan and Scotland v Agentina games had exciting last 10  mins. and with Italy beating South Africa the world order is changing a tad. Some cracking phases in all games today!

    In order of merit from last weekends' 6 nations teams, mine would read:

    England (the most exciting to watch)

    Ireland  (Just for effort)

    Italy (Boks are really poor)

    Scotland (did you see the relief on Laidlaw's face?)

    Wales (played Japan's 2nd XV)

    France N/A

    Be interesting to see how England perform against Argentina this coming weekend. Must say that the Argentinians looked fatigued last week after their exhausting jet setting tour. Will they view this last game as a friendly before returning home or a last
    chance to prove their place in the world order?

    Interesting point Mickysf, but I honestly think you may well see a record score next Saturday, even though England will be 'weaker' in the pack following Mr Lauchbury's misdemeanour! (Mr Kruiz is no mean replacement) At present England and Ireland are playing at a higher level (imho) and I fully expect them to demolish Australia.

    He may well have been chosen by the media because he scored 2 tries, but he certainly wasn't the real MotM. I think that he's still a "work in progress" and has been sent back to his club to work on those aspects of his game that are not up to the standard
    of the other English wingers.

    How do you feel about an England team being led by an Australian ? To me it's like a Cumberland wrestling team being coached by a bloke from Appleby.

    Enjoyed the Scotland/Georgia game, some great tries, found the Welsh just as boring as ever, and England had quite a scare, but a good win in the end with only 14 men for most of the game.

    So, Rugby League gets played at Twickenham; Wales finally play some decent stuff; Scotland secure a good win (expected); Ireland out-muscle the Aussies; Italy disappoint after last week and France lose to NZ.

    Nice to see the Northern Hemisphere sides giving it to our Southern Hemisphere friends, but as Bobr2112 states above, I wonder if all these sides are now beoming a little too 'cosmopolitan' ? It's almost like watching 2 Barbarian sides playing each other
    each week. It seems if your granny shopped at Asda, sometime in the last thirty years, it allows you to play in that country!?!

    Still better than watching those over-paid fairies in the Premier League :)

    Do you think the TMO is ruining our game?

    Lots of slagging off going on at the moment between Michael Checka and Eddie Jones before the England/Australia game this weekend. Hopefully the match will be a cracker, but played in a sportsman-like manner.

    Yes, really looking forward to the game although I'm a little surprised Jones is getting involved with the 'sledging'  Maybe there are old wounds not yet healed or some history we are not privvy to. Australia vs England in any sport is enough to raise the
    tempo, but even without 6 or 7 first choices in the XV, I still expect England to edge it. If the Aussies play like they did in the first half last weekend, they could find themselves 20 odd points adrift (Heres hoping!)

    I only saw the highlights on BBC so missed 50% of it but there were quite a few fortuitous refereeing decisions.

    Rubbish. The referee had a brilliant game for once and it was the TMO that made the decisions. It was brilliant last-ditch defending which showed a strength and desire that the oppenent 'will not cross' unlike the soft underbelly which is all too apparent
    in other sides. What is evident is that some of the home nations have moved their game to a different level and others haven't and you can look forward to England beating and extending their unbeaten run next February against the French

    Thought England played to their strengths and beat the Aussies at their own game. They have come a long way in the last year and are developing a strong pool of talent which Eddie has had the guts to assemble. He has done a great job for English rugby, I
    supported his appointment and selections from the start, but there were a lot who didn't. A few doubting thomas' on here as well.....Cool
