Westham v Chelsea game
What are followers of Soccer thinking about when disgusting violent scenes like those of last night are becoming a regular occurrence.?
Why is the FA doing nothing to stop the violence.
What is it about Soccer which attracts so many thugs.

It's an unfortunate fact that hooliganism is still a small part of football. The reason you don't see it so much is IMHO due to good segregation and stewarding/policing at most matches. The trend to attracting more families is another reason. It seems that
the London Stadium isn't fit for matches at the moment.0 -
As a regular at Anfield I can thankfully say I haven't witnessed any violence for years. I was put off going to live games for a long time after seeing someone killed in an act of inane stupidity when a rocket flare was set off at a World Cup qualifier match
between Wales and Roumania in Cardiff. It was aimed across the stadium and killed someone it hit on the opposite side.Recently it seems the violence is more likely to happen in London and Scotland

Why is it that soccer supporters have to be segregated in a stadium ?.
Other sports don't need to do that, their different supporters can be where they like and mix quite congenially.
I've never quite understood the "herding them like cattle" mentality of those committee members who control soccer grounds.

I've been to 3 away games recently. Celtic, 60,000 crowd, Barcelona, 97,000, and last night at the Swamp, 74,000. No problems whatsoever at any of those high profile games. West Ham have a real problem at their new stadium. It was a ground I was hoping
to visit this season, but 'fraid I'll be going nowhere near the place now.0 -

Not quite true at the £1m rugby league playoff game recently violence erupted at the end of the game and this was on the pitch.
