Very proud of the effort and determination of Northern Ireland in their match against the mighty Poland.

Poland played their usual great football, a pleasure to watch, but it showed how good N/Ireland was, to be able to keep the score to just 1.0..

Ok lads you didn't win on goals today. But you won the admiration of those who watched you play.   Well Done !!!

What is that 'image' that they keep flashing up after every action replay during the live television broadcasts?

    Great result for Wales.

Why oh why do all England managers decide to rest their best team when every game in a competition like this is akin to a cup final.  Hope they don't live to regret it.

We were led to believe that Enland had a surfeit ofGoal scorers. Why then are they so useless at winning games.  Wales have already over achieved whilst only having 1 player. Are England now going to win the cup or is Germany their next oponents?

Wales have Gareth Bale, a world class striker. Sometimes "only having 1 player " is enough.

Well done to the three teams of the United Kingdom who had the skill, talent and ability (and some luck) to win through the group stages and into the last 16 of the Euro 2016 competition.

Lets hope that Scotland can qualify along with England, Wales and Northern Ireland when the next major football tournament comes around.

Well, we now who England will play in the next round....Iceland! Glad it was not Portugal who we've never beaten in a championship. Still don't know for sure who Wales & NI will play yet, tonight's matches will decide, but they could well be playing
    eachother.

Suppose  I  shouldn't  be  surprised  at  the  lack  of  posts  whilst  yours  truely  has  been  "off  keyboard"

Not  seen  too  many  games  but  the  standard  of  those  I  have  seen  has  only  been  improved  by  some  hilarious  results  &  performances.  As  the  old  saying  goes  :-- Some  of  'em  could  not  trap  a  sack  of  wet  cement !

Thank  goodness  it's  the  Cricket  Season  !!

Disappointed in Wales defence strategy. They are giving the game away.

Wales are quite rightly proud of the achievement of their national football team and the way in which their fans enjoyed the competition. True sportsmanship.!!

A real credit to their country.Smile

Contrast this with the England team and supporters.

    K Cool

I think there is still a lot of what used to be known as larger louts in major football torniments that just use it as an excuse to get Drunk & fight, they should use the cctv coverage more and give them lifetime ban ,
