Wales  6  France  3  at  half  time

territorial  advantage  to  Wales  but    no  real  pressure  ==  hope  it  bursts  into  life  in  the  second  40

    Wales v France half time.

Not a brilliant game but Wales are looking the more enterprising of the two and more likely to win!

Excellent defence by Wales despite the last minute French try. Must have been quite a difficult game for Wayne Barnes to 'control' what with all the 10 man rugby shananagins going on from both sides particularly in the scrum and the tight pieces.

Lets hope for two attacking/running exciting games tomorrow.

Have to agree with you ABM, much better rugby today, last night was a total turn off  for me, I blame everyone on the pitch including the ref, who let the scrums especialy go unpunished for collapsing and time wasting.

Italy v Scotland..... was always going to be a battle, sadly Italy not fit enough.

England  v Ireland..... England played well but stll need to think about the final touch, even though the team were roughly 80% the same as in the RWC, the mindset and approach were entirely different, such an improvement in such a short time is unbelievable.
If they can get revenge over Wales then job done.                                                   Felt for Ireland as they showed glimpses of old , but sadly injuries have taken their toll.......Cool

Billy was the game changer for me! Those hard yards won and the momentum generated were phenomenal. Must say I thought the Irish backs at times were more adventurous in open running play mind.

Great English defence when under a lot of pressure, and a man down for 20 mins too. When they finally find out how to play a full 80 mins with 15 men on the field all the time, and cut the number of penalties that they give a way by half then they will be
a team to be recond with by all other sides. Looking forward to the Welsh game in 2 wks time.....Bring them on.Happy

...I guess your right Bt, just want it now. Although a solid performance they just seem to lack a little invention and innovation in the half backs. Probably down to the work of the Irish pair mind!

Sorry guys but I switched the Ireland Englamd match off when the camera captured an English player kicking an Irish player four times on the head when the Irishman was on the floor. IMO totally gratuatous.  The referee took no action.  That sort of behavior
is unacceptable.  It was a poor rugby match .

K, if you'd have hung around you'd have seen it with the ref & TMO looking at the evidence-accidental, He was was caught in the reverse swing as the player was going for the ball. I guess with you being blinkered the facts never get in the way of your prejudice,
sorry to give you the facts. I doubt it will change your MO.

K, pretty it wasn't but you are permitted to kick the ball through the ruck. He was attempting to do that! That was the conclusion of the refs.

The rule needs addressing if you think that's wrong, eh!Surprised

K... you must have watched a different match to me, as R2b states, the kicks were not deliberate. It was a good rugby match, but then again I am an English supporter, though I do give praise where praise is due......Cool

...to be fair Bt, the kicks at the ball were deliberate, no way was he aiming them at the man though. This kicking of the ball in this way is legitamate as it is within the rules! Now if the kicks were aimed at the man then Ks comment would be justified but they weren't!

    There's a parody here 'somewhere'!Wink

From the start of this latest 6 nations competition, my prediction was that England will easily win overall. Great to see that my choice is well on the way to achieving this.  Good on them.

here are my list of possible winners in order of importance .  Scotland , Wales , France , Ireland , England , Italy.  I hope the eventual winner comes from the first four in the list.  I like to see the small nations doing well.

This was your post-'from the start' K. Your memory is a little out I'm afraid. You have backed England as the tournament has progressed. We English folk appreciate thatHappy
