Agree R2b, the TMO has a lot of +ve's and very few -ve's, the refcam is also an added bonus IMO, this more than justifies the use of technology in the game today, showing all exactly how a ref should control a game. It has made the game more watchable and enjoyable for me, also, I think it has made the game more understandable especialy for  the new audiences, which are growing in size. Win WinWink......Cool

Write your comments here...me too!! Both codes! Also enjoy Ref. cam., Love the banter overheard and the 'rule' bending covert/overt 'efforts' it reveals, then the cries of 'who, me ref.?' Wink

Incidentally, I watched the ladies final this evening, Richmond V Saracens!  Very skilful in my opinion and would give many a junior clubs male side a run for their money! The soft hands ball passing skills were particulary good!

Is it my imagination that the majority of scrums are still fed with a crooked feed from the scrum halves? I was under the impression that the authorities were clamping down on it. By the way, Scotland are showing signs of improvement and are one of the dark
horses if not this season but in the future.

I don't think much has changed as far as crooked feeds go. The refs have not controlled this "cheating" for many a year. It's done so blatently these days, infuriates me.Yell

I would not like to see it but as things are at the moment , we might as well have uncontested scrums. Also, players holding on to the ball or kicking it away to prevent a quick tap and go from a penalty should be dealt with. The refs have the power, know
it goes on and do nothing at all about it. I also get infuriated at these issues.

When Brian  Moore commentates on matches, he gets well wound up with crooked feeds.

Since qualifying as a referee Brian Moore comments negatively on every refereeing decision.

I also find him negative about anything England do, drives me mad even if he's right!

I see there are 3 debutants in the England squad to play against Scotland in their 1st match of this years 6 Nations, but looking at the full squad it would appear that the team to run out will be very much the same as that which took part in the World Cup
    matches.

I  just  hope  that  England  finish  each  game  with  the  same  number  of  players  on  the  pitch  as  when  they  started  !!

Right  now  I  do  have  my  doubts,  though.

Oh yea of little faithYell.... Forget the doom and gloom, look on the bright side. Instead of waiting for your prophesy to come true, be thankful
that we  have a Coach who has the guts to pick the best players and draw a line so they can all start again with the same chance. well done Mr Jones I say, let the tut tutters be silenced, be positiveHappy.....Cool

Agree nellie, but I think that a bit of mindset tuning and bonding is being done, new leadership is essential, as is the relieving of certain responsibilities from others, this may well make certain players  give better performances. The only way is up.Smile......Cool

I think that there'll be a lot of winding up DH during the games. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson and will behave.....controlled agression should be his bywords from now on.

It seems that Eddie Jones will pick a big pack and an experienced team without too much new blood.  This would be a sensible strategy specifically for the Scotland match which could be wet, windy and intimidating. Depending on how it goes I would expect
to see something a bit more experimental and with more of the new faces at the Italy match. Fascinating.

What I'd like to see is referees ensuring that the balls go into the scrum down the middle and that there's no feeding by the scrum halfs. Pie in the sky I know, but one can only hope.
