I do hope the RWC has been a real wake up call for England. That courage, belief and togetherness as illustrated by the Japanese needs to be seen in the boys if they are to shine in the SNs. Let's hope they do! It will be interesting to see if Farrell will be in the squad after daddy's 'defection' to the Irish!

here are my list of possible winners in order of importance .  Scotland , Wales , France , Ireland , England , Italy.  I hope the eventual winner comes from the first four in the list.  I like to see the small nations doing well.

I reckon the title will be fought over by Wales & Ireland but no grand slam. England will use it as a testing ground. France will be a contender if the new Manager can firm up the mental attitude of the French players. The emerging nations of Italy & Scotland
will put on a good show as usual, but as usual finish near the bottom fighting over the wooden spoon.

At least we have a breather before the first 6 nations match at Twickers.  Then in lock down again on a match day.  Not as bad as the RWC though, at least they aren't intending to close the A316, or at least I don't think so.  Although they did tell us residents
not to throw away the access passes they gave us for the RWC, just in case.

Don't think England have any chance of winning, they are still too bruised from their humiliating defeat in the RWC.  But  I wish all the teams the best of luck for the season.

Good to see Tuilagi and Hartley back in with a shout for an England place. Ashton could also be a good choice, also, a few uncapped yongsters coming through. I think I might like this new coach's perspective Smile.......Cool

Squad announced. Owen Farrell is included and in comes a young Beaumont!

    Some interesting selections and omissions.

My choise would be Joe Launchbury. It was Matt Dawson who hinted that DH was the manager/coahes' choise.

What is utterly depressing is that the BBC seem to have lost the right to broadcast the 6 nations and it is going to ITV.  I hate sports coverage with adverts in the middle and ITV camera work is just not up to the same standard as the BBC.

I thought ITV & BBC share the rights OG&S, I'm sure I read that recently.

Not sure if you're right or not R2b, BBC have given up a lot of sports coverage recently, shame if they have, as I, like OG&S much prefer sports broadcasts without the adverts....Cool

Not so sure the beeb really wanted to 'give up' these sports and other shows! They are being squeezed, gagged and starved of funding though!

This is the best I can do.

I know the purists don't like it but I love it when the ref goes to the TMO, all those angles to see the try, rewind/forward ultra slow-magical. Anything to drag the game out is good for me. Plus there's no grumbles from fans-they see it & know if it's yea
    or nayLaughing

I think the TMO is a very worthy addition to the ref's tools, eliminating doubt and if used correctly allowing the game to be uncontroversial. I just hope that ref's are strong enough to use their own judgment and not completely rely on the TMO.....Cool

I doubt that will ever happen BT, it's also been used to identify the odd thug too, potentially ruining a players season/career. I like the refcam too-listening to some big players constantly whining to the ref for minor infringements-what a hootLaughingLaughing
