Popular TV programmes that we have never seen!
Someone commented that they were having an evening of wine and watching Midsummer Murders and could life get any better. I don't think they were being sarcastic.
We have never seen an episode of MM, Morse or Cracker. In fact find very little of interest on tv these days, I blame t'internet??

DeadEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Holby City, Casualty, Neighbours, Doctors, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent (the irony is laughable!), Dancing on Ice, most of Strictly, Top Gear, One Show, Big Brother, TOWIE, Geordie Shore, anything with a Kardashian
in it, Masterchef in all its guises, Benefit Street, Judge Judy/Rinder, Anything with Jeremy smirking Kyle fronting it, etc......My list of don't watch is endless. We seldom watch TV. Most of it is mindless dross produced on the cheap, or so depressing that it would benefit from a health warning.

I would get timed out on my full list! Last time I watched Strictly was when Louis Smith won. Didn't see a single episode of this
last Bake Off. We use catch up for Uni Challenge and Only Connect, but only because they are easy and short enough to watch while having a meal.I like good documentaries and well made dramas. Cracker is, was, excellent. Some of classic BBC dramas were excellent. Channel Four has made some decent stuff as well at times.

Our current list is typical of the amount of tv that we watch. There are currently just 3 programmes that are scheduled for taping, namely Landscape Artist of the Year on Sky Arts on Tuesday evening, Countryfile but only for the long range weather forecast and Horse Racing on Channel 4 (my vice). Programmes that we may have been interested in tend to pass us by as we've not checked to see if anything interesting is on but somehow the planet keeps turning.
Might catch up with a news programme and evry so often a wildlife programme but that's about it. Much prefer to listen to music.

That was me last night in the "what are you up to today" thread and I wasn't being sarcastic lol. We love watching Midsomer when we are away in the van during the winter months. To add to this thread I have never seen an episode of Downton Abbey or Poldark
which seems to be popular at the moment. Maybe I will get round to it at some point0 -
WOW, didn't know there were that many T.V. Programmes on the tellybox -- must go and do some research !
Write your comments here...I'm reliably informed that you can buy a weekly magazine that lists these programmes. Should help you with the research.

Never watched a single episode of X Factor or The Voice or BGT or Big Brother. Only once seen Get Me Out Of Here when holidaying with friends who wanted to watch last year's final! Almost certainly loads of others I could mention, certainly all the daytime
dross!Always try to watch the quiz programmes and animal/wildlife stuff and whatever sport I can get away with (not much these days!)

...but 30 seconds of either 'host/compere' is enough to put me off.....
Ha, ha... Agree re Victoria Coren whoeversheis! Have to admit to liking Paxo, killer Yorkshire man! He's a pussycat compared with some of males (and females) up here!

Loved it then and I bought all the books to read as well. Think it might have had something to do with Robin Ellis who played Ross Poldark ??

I concur with all of TDA's list with the exception of Top Gear. Did use to enjoy that. Whether the later incarnations will find their way into Room 101 with the rest of the list remains to be seen. Will watch pretty much any wildlife/history stuff.
