Tonight, Henning Wehn, Happywill ask the question why we Brits classify a week in a caravan as a holiday! Let's tell him why!Wink

    We treat the caravan as mobile accommodation which we can take to a particular location to use as a base from which to holiday. 

    There is a difference. The caravan itself is not the holiday, if it was, nobody would need to take it out of their drive. 

    The holiday is where you go with the caravan and how you enjoy what that particular area has to offer.

    Given the large number of Germans who I see towing their caravans around Europe  would he not be better employed asking the same question of his fellow countrymen?

    Our caravan is our little cottage on wheels and long may it be.

    Today is Monday 30th, the posting says 3 hours ago so I have looked on channel 4 at 10pm. Cannot find it anywhere what am I missing? thanks.

    Today is Monday 30th, the posting says 3 hours ago so I have looked on channel 4 at 10pm. Cannot find it anywhere what am I missing? thanks.

    KJLC, hope this helps! I do find him very funny and one thing about us Brits, and particularly us caravaners, motorised or otherwise,  is that we can laugh at ourselves!Happy

     His fellow comedians take the Micky out of him and his countrymen and he gives good humoured banter back! Love it!

    Many thanks for that. I saw the heading, immigrants guide.... and was expecting something in the title like 'caravan' or 'Henning Wehn' I learn something new every week
