If you haven't seen this, it films in the vet surgery of Noel Fitzpatrick. His set up is probably better than many hospitals, with MRI scanner, specialists and brilliant operating facilities.
He takes on really complicated cases where, I'm sure, many vets would just recommend putting the animal to sleep. Some of the surgery he carries out is really complex.
Last night, for example, one patient was a Rhodesian Ridgeback with a cancer tumour on his rear leg. The owner was concerned about amputatiing the leg, because he was such a big dog. Noel removed the tumour and the infected bone and replaced it with a custom-made
prosthetic.......and the dog was shown happily walking around on it.Brilliant stuff!

I think I've watched every single episode of this programme. What Noel does for animals is unbelievable and he definitely deserves recognition for his pioneering work.
There is a Facebook Group attempting to get him a Knighthood.

He is one smart cookie, certainly he has some failures but I like to think he and his team are sucessful with all his patients. I'm also sure he doesn't come cheap which is why I have decent pet insurance and would top up the remainder if required without
doubt. How fantastic is it to see how quickly these animals accept their new legs, they want to run and play immediately without a thought of what's wrong with them.

I am in love with that bloke! Even hubby admires him. Having worked in veterinary medicine myself in the past, I find I hanker into going back to it after watching his shows. I remember how good it feels to make an animal better. On an interview I heard couple of months ago, he was saying he was mortgaged to millions....and had over a hundred staff on his books, so he can run the practise 24/7. No wonder he's not cheap! He's brilliant with people too though isnt he? Not just the animals.

Has anyone looked at his Wikipedia profile, he also has a passion for acting and has been in several t.v programs and has been in 3 films taking the lead role in one of them. After watching him at work he makes other vets look substandard in comparison,
even though they all do a fantastic job.0
