Just a bit of advice really

We are looking after next door's 8 month old pup Mags (Lurcher, long haired type ). She is incredibly sweet and is really being put in her place by Pnut, my 18 month old shizu/cairn cross. That is the way of the world and I am allowing it however, when it
comes to dinner time, Pnut (the bossy one) is walking away and letting Mags eat all her dinner. What's that all about? Not a doggy psychologist but wondered if anyone has any ideas?

The leader of the pack eats first do it looks as if Pnut is deferring to Mags and accepted her as leader. Odd, I know.

We've found with our dogs is that when there is a youngster around the others let the puppy have first go at food, might be a protective thing for survival. (It never worked quite so well with one of our previous large male labradors!)

Just as odd, when we give the dogs their breakfast we also give them a Dentastik. Harry always eats that first then his breakfast, but Lady scoffs down her breakfast and then has her Dentastik. It happens every single time. Weird, eh?!! Happy
