Returning home and having to wash it. Cleaning the inside is easier though as the other half does it.

What do you all find the worst thing about caravanning and Motorhoming?

For me, there is one thing that looms above everything else.  It has to be cleaning the van on the outside - especially the roof.  No contest!

British Roads and the lack of places to stop en route for a comfort stop. French roads and Aires are brilliant

The state of British roads and their lack of maintenance. Then getting home to find various items strewn all over the caravan floor because of the potholes experienced en route.

Finding time to get away for the week then find all the club sites have no availability at the weekend, so the 7 nights away becomes 5 nights, then packing up to leave as everyone is about to arrive for the weekend, made even worse in nice weather.

I know i should plan ahead or call site but sometimes not possible and calling does not always help.

Having to book instead of being able to come and go as you please.

I don't know how I will feel tomorrow never mind 6 months in advance.

One of the main reasons we use the THS network in the UK and camp abroad each year.

Think the CC are missing a very big trick by not having a come and go as you please network like the THS of the other club.

Nowadays it is realising yet another season is all but over before it should be and we are not going out again for a long time. These days unlike when even a bit younger, it is difficult to persuade management that we used to very much enjoy our winter trips.

if youve still got the desire, then perhaps she might like it a bit more, somewhere slightly warmer....?

not necessarily over Christmas and New Year, but the 'season' (we dont have one...) can be greatly extended (with glorious weather) once you bridge that '22 miles' of water.....Happy

Having to wait for a fellow caravanner to disconnect their electric hookup in the caravan storage so I can charge my battery. The only alternative is to take the battery out and charge it at home. Cleaning the van when I get home from holiday is a pleasure,

try the Italian roads once you get off the autostrada, UK roads seem like the finest quality lawn!

Undoubtedly the worst thing about caravanning is getting pitched to MOH 's  specifications and then, 1 hr later, hearing her say "you've pitched it the wrong way round and I have not got a view"
