Does anyone recall a caravan from the 1980's with the name Genesis? It was a very futuristic shape and design which I was impressed with, but at the time it was too expensive, long or heavy. Or all of them. I have failed to find any reference to them on
search engines. Now I am wondering if it was a different name?

There was one shaped like a dart that went for the caravan speed record.

Could it be that one? It was designed by Barry Stimson who usually made futuristic Motorhome designs

Castleton of Sherborne made a model named Genesis from I think 1994 till they ceased trading about a year later.

It did not fit your description of "futuristic", and clearly was not.

Their vans were of exceptional quality.

Eldiss made a Genesis in 1989/90 Very futuristic  but at £13,000 or thereabouts it didn't seem to catch on. Friends of ours had a 2 berth one but a 3 berth side dinette was also available. From the rear it looked more like a motorhome than a caravan. Very
rare model apart from theirs and a 3 berth not too far from where they lived I don't think we have seen more than 2 or 3 since then and never on a site. Coachman did a Genius around the same time but there was nothing spectacular about it. Kellysmum

Thanks Kellysdad. That's the very one. Your description is spot on, I never saw one on site or being towed, only on the caravan dealer forecourt. Found a few photos on search engines which have made me wonder why I thought it looked interesting at the time.
