Satellite dish

We have a Maxview Precision Portable Satellite system for use with a new Avtex television.  However, the only way we have been able to use the external satellite socket on the van is to by-pass the Vision Plus amplifier.  Has anyone else experienced this
problem or come up with an alternative solution?

Ideally, we would like to be able to use either the built-in aerial or the satellite dish.

Whilst we have a automatic satellite dish coupled with an Avtex TV we don't have a built in aerial so out external socket goes through a normal splitter. Its possible that the Vision Plus interferes  with the satellite signal. Can you switch the Vision Plus off whilst using the satellite so that it just acts as a pass through?

You do need to by-pass the Vision Plus, there is no other way as power needs to pass from the TV to the dish.  Easiest way to do this is to put push fit F connectors on the leads this makes it a simple job to swap them around as and when needed.
