Whale water hook up

hi. I have recently been given a whale water hook up without any instructions. Forgive my ignorance but am I supposed to use with the pump turned on or off in my Bailey Pageant?

You have no pump, so the switch doesn't need to be on. The pressure comes from the mains water connection. It doesn't actually matter that much if the switch is on, as the pump connections in the socket will only be touching the plastic hook up, there
are no copper contacts in it like the pump connection.

The above advice assumes that you have an external pump, if your pump is internal, there is advice re removal of a strainer and I have no experience to guide you.

The Pageant is fitted with an internal pump. I've only tried the hook up once for a short period. I was concerned I may cause damage to the pump if turned off when it should be on or viva versa.
