Is there such a thing as insurance for when/if your caravan is being repaired and you can't use it but you have booked trips?

I've seen a lot of discussoins about reparis etc taking time and people waiting weeks for repairs. As we are new to all this I wondered if we can cover ourselves from this risk? we have holidays booked, we have caravan insruance in case it breaks down or
is stolen or damanged.... but not if its unavilable and we miss our holiday.

What do others do?

Not sure if normal holiday insurance would cover this, try looking at red pennant to see.

Don't take it in when you need it. Most repairs can wait unless its a dangerous fault then it's just one of those things that happen in life. You make alternative arrangements and do something else.

That insurance is not available I am afraid. Given the efforts or lack of them in getting parts delivered it is not surprising. If the problem is someone elses fault you should be able to claim either for a hired caravan or loss of deposits and enjoyment
    of the holiday.

My neighbour at Bourton on the Water should have been in Cornwall but the car broke down en route at least they got a break and hopefully booking was transferred but it certainly could be a problem.  Luckily it was their favourite site but I wouldn't have been too happy to miss Cornwall (especially as I believe their garage admitted fault).

If they had Mayday cover they could have still gone, although possibly no car when they got there might have been a problem.
