Reg plates with EU logo

I'm really amazed at people getting concerned about that sort of thing. Maybe they don't have other more serious problems. We will know early enough whether EU style plates remain valid. I can imagine that they can stay on vehicles even after 2018. I'm more
worried about the drop in value of the pound and a rise in interest rates as a consequence.0 -
Thanks for the balance ValDa, I was begining to worry. I am still not sure that the Welsh,Irish and English sides wont have their games cancelled at the EUROS??
Also realised that last night I had bottle of the lovely Temperanillo that we brought back last week from Spain-should I contact the Spanish Tax office and offer to pay any duty now due?
Also, should I remove the Kernow sticker form the back of my car and van, my wife is Cornish, and will the knock on effect be that if Cornwall get independence along with Scotland that I will need a Visa to visit her????

I've just thought of a business opportunity. When anything has to change there might be a market for 48% stickers to cover the GB in the centre of the stars. I've just copywrited that so don't steal my idea.

Write your comments here...what about Yorkshire Independence? We have the same population as Scotland and an equivalent number of grievances against Westminster-we also have our own flag to put on our number plates.Last one left in the UK will you please
turn off the lights! It is all getting rather hysterical -the Sun still keeps coming up every morning.0 -
I was going to post something like this as a tongue in cheek question to lighten a very dismal day. As has been previously posted: plates should be valid until the decree absolute is issued. Then it's back to GB plates, stopping at all EU borders and
all sorts of jollifications.I don't think that whatever happens we shall be stopping at all EU borders. We shall definately stop at the French/UK border and any other ones from the EU to a non Schengen EU counry but all the rest will still have no border controls just like they do
now. There will be no requirement to remove the EU part of the registration plates I think, only rules about what you must display, which will remain a GB sticker as it always has been. The EU plates were only a dispensation for EU member countries. My passport
had always been black until the latest version. Regards, Roy...when we came through the border 2 weeks ago at Perthus the French we stopping every non French vehicle, checking passports, asking questions, took me back about 30 years.

We went through two such checks recently one from Austria to Germany and one from Germany to France. No document checking but they were certainly looking carefully at the cars. As for us we were waved through both times, obviously not interested in two oldies!!!
Given the current chaos we could still be using EU plates in 10 years timeDavid

Perhaps I'll go for a skull and crossbones logo on my numberplate.

I've got an old unused Townsend Thoresen GB sticker somewhere. Perhaps I should put it on EBay.

The old Roll On Roll Over ferries We were on one just after the Herald of Free Enterprise accident, rammed full beyond the
loading lines and listing to port as we left Zeebrugge. We asked which side was the dry side should we fall over?0 -
Easy solution - Change the image with regards to which of the home nations you belong . England - Cross of St George ; Ulster - Red Hand of Ulster
