People are often quick to complain of poor customer service, so here’s an instance of good service.

I needed a minor repair to one of the front panels of my Isabella awning, I telephoned Isabella last Tuesday to discuss the repair. They sent me out a pack with the agreement and quote for the repair along with the packaging for the awning panel. I received
this on the Thursday, packed up the panel and phoned Isabela first thing Friday to inform them it was ready for collection.

The package was collected the same day. I received a phone call from Isabella late Monday afternoon to tell me they had received the awning panel and had made the requested repair. I made the payment over the phone and the awning was dispatched back to me
that day. I received the it back today (Wednesday) at 09.30 , the repair has been done to a high standard at a very reasonable cost.

Well done Isabella and ParcelForce.

Bugs, this post is about customer service NOT awnings or parts and accessories! and as such doesn't belong in this section.

    Hi Whittakerr

Because it's about the customer service around an Isabella awning repair, it's related to our hobby, and therefore not appropriate to the "General Chat" Section, which is for non hobby-related topics.

The other place it could go, if you would prefer, is Caravan & Motorhome Chat - the hobby-related general chat section?

Happy to move it there if you would prefer?

    Cheers

    Hello Bugs.

As you say, my post is about customer service, it just happened to be around an awning. It could well have been around a camera, item of clothing or a cooking utensil which I suppose are all hobby related.

As I fail to understand how customer service is a “Part or accessory” and  you still consider the general chat section to be an inappropriate place for this post I would like to accept your offer of moving it to Caravan and Motorhome chat.

    Thank you.

I think you are all missing the point really, it is not about argueing where the appropriate section is for this, but about someone happy with a service and wanting to let people know.

    Good for Isabella!

Be careful about criticising the moderator's actions, Whittakerr. Bugs will report you to the Community Manager for such actions. You will never win the argument.

    Well done, Isabella!

I'm sorry this thread has discussed moderation more than customer service but such is life. Undecided
