Im looking for a recommendation of in-car DVD players to keep 2 boys entertained during our trip to France this Summer.

Ive been looking at a few online, but reviews rarely seem to be favourable on reliability & quality

I thought i'd come to the community that may have the most experience

Any suggestions please

We've had NextBase units for years, or 1 left after a scumbag broke in and nicked 1 of them from the car.

An alternative is a tablet /iPad that can take lots of games, films and connect to tinternet if required to do homework or write holiday logs for return to school.

Our 9 year old prefers her iPad, but loved the DVD player until she got that.

We also play games en route like spot the yellow car, cranes, construction sites etc.

    I agree with KeefySher.

We swapped from DVD to Tablets about 4 years ago after the  first DVD broke. It was cheaper to by two separate tablets, both the kids could watch different films, cheap mounts for the back of the seats. loads of films to choose from and play games on when
you get to where you are going.

    DVD's ore old skool! Wink

Thanks. I was planning on putting mp4's on it anyway.

I have got a kindle fire and was thinking of buying a 2nd one (as one of my options) but I can't seem to work out how to get movies onto it

i also need to be happy with keeping them charged for the long journey and wireless headphones too, if that is feasible with a kindle.

    Thanks

You should be able to keep them charged from the lighter plug if you have one in the back. We have a converter to a USB and I think you can get ones that double up but have two lighter plugs within reach anyway.
