Air suspension on motorhomes

Has anyone else had problems with Devitt/Highway who handle the club's insurance schemes? I recently had air suspension fitted to our Autosleeper Nuevo and duly notified Devitt. They appear to have no idea what it was (there are 000s of vans out there with
it), and then demanded a 10% loading. They failed to notify me of this and then wrote on CC letterhead cancelling cover. I have not found another insurer who loads premiums for this, nor a broker who just cancels cover without making contact. I have insured
elsewhere - not great CC!! A warning to others.

It's probably not the Air Suspension that did it but the fact you modified the vehicle and they have a loading of 10% . Some insurers don't like it when you modify the workings.

When I tried to get first time cover for a standard AS Broadway they refused on the basis that my wife had an accident two years ago in her car.  Went to Safeguard: no problem plus European breakdown cover as standard.
