Lovely weekend away!
Just as we were possibly thinking of selling the 'van, we had a long weekend at Blackhorse near Folkstone, mainly to go and visit Canterbury and Dover Castle. What a great weekend! WW2 weekend at Dover Castle, fascinating plod around Canterbury, and lots
of sun & warmth!
Plus, the site did not make me feel packed in, where you feel you are 'just another white tin box sitting in a field of white boxes' - it was really pleasant & what using the caravan should be about.
looking forward to the July break next!

Never sell the 'van. We don't ever go to boxed in sites, although we did visit our son and his wife staying at an Ulverston site, and I know exactly what you mean. We have visited some wonderful sites either in Europe or in this country. I wouldn't swap
caravanning to go and stay in hotels and B&Bs ever. But like everything else, you do stay in some horrible places and also in some
idealic places. So enjoy0 -
Currently on a CL, weather is not good but looking out of paddocks with horses and other wildlife, moorhens, rabbits a red deer ambled across a little while ago and watched a Kestrel hunting. No, I wouldn't give up my white box for the world.

I don't think we will ever give up either of our sleeping boxes, enjoy them far too much. We love cottages and B and Bs as well, but unless you are really lucky, you don't manage that totally away from it all aspect that you can get in a touring box if you
choose the right location!0 -
Couldn't afford to go away as often, as far & for so long as we do if it wasn't for our caravan.

You are not wrong there, three day break on a bank holiday weekend for £75 cannot be argued with!
Although, cost in the money for the caravan, the caravan insurance and servicing, bigger car to tow with, extra fuel used through the year, was it that cheap?
