Hi Where is everyone going this weekend. Any suggestions??? We love hiking going to National Trust properties biking etc.  Seeing new places. We have a Autosleeper Nuevo so dont have to have any facilities on site.

Hi Chocoholics, we are off to Killin for the weekend. Great walking in the area, Ben Lawers for example. We will only be walking as far as the village, shop and play area. Fingers crossed that it does not snow !

Not sure where you are in the country, hope you find somewhere nice.

    Alex.

We are off to the Lake District for the BH weekend.

It will be our second Lake District holiday in the caravan, not bad considering we will have only owned it for 3 weeks by next Saturday.

The Southern Lakes District around Consiston, Hawkshead and Ambleside is good for walking, there are a few National Trust sites (Fell Foot Park, Hill Top, Tarn Hows, Sizergh Castle) and the cycling is good with Bridleways and Grizedale Forest which is a Forestry Commision centre.

It all depends on how far away you are. We are 3 hours away so although not ideal it is do able after work on a Friday.

Probably  sitting  here  sniffing  sadly Don't cry  'cos  the  motor  goes  to  the  service  centre  on  Thursday  at  2:00.  The  retractable
step  is  not  moving  in  or  out  even  if  I  give  it  a  darn  good  tug,  and  the  Waeco  Compressor fridge  has  come  out  in  sympathy,  I  reckon.  As  I've  said  before  not  seeing  the  beastie  when  I  look  out  of  the  window  is  truly
    depressing  Embarassed.  So  please  no
"Happy  Times  are  Here "  posts  or  i'll  throw  my  coffee  at  the  monitor  !!

Just  hope  everybody  does  the  good  things  &  has  a  cracking  good  time.

We're off to Conkers C&CC site with friends.  Probably the only time we go to a C&CC site.  We're only about 20 minutes from home.  Our eldest daughter still has to get to school on Thursday and Friday, so this, together with other things, means there will
    be plenty to and fro-ing!

Seacroft CC Site at Cromer Norfolk.  Lovely walks along the beach and very dog friendly. Going to a show in the Pavillion Theatre on the pier on Sunday.  Just hope the wind turns from a northerly otherwise it's going to be colder than when we were there
    at Christmas.

Off to the New Forest Centenary site, I am surprised that late availability is showing 45 available pitches for Friday but 0 for Saturday

.....bit further south and west for a few days on the Exe estuary.

plenty of sunshine but a bitingly cold north wind....the reason for the strange weather, i guess....

Just back from hols so we won't be off again for a while and we never go anywhere on Bank holidays.  Most businesses don't worry about Mayday here unless it's a 'local holiday'.  Some towns will take the 2nd. May and some will not.  Same with Whit.

It's strange when I tried to edit my post (I'd missed a word out) and check the link I got an error message (still getting it.) Anyway later next week we're off to see the Furry Dance in Helston, just hope it warms up by then. (Flora Day, to be precise on
    the 7th May.) Wink

Have a really good time in Helston.  Cornwall is one of my favourite holiday destinations in the UK.

We'll be on a CL near Manningtree this BH weekend, into the 5th week of this trip, and by the next BH we'll have got round to Grantham and then Skybarn near Lincoln. We always find somewhere to walk wherever we go.

I know. Timed to perfection, just as I left to collect granddaughter No 2 from school  plus I didn't have a proper coat.
