Clean ours thouroughly end of winter (has winter ended? Lol)park it a metre away from side of house and up ladder to clean/inspect roof, roof is strong enough to take my weight but don't risk it I use pressure washer with caravan cleaner all over body then
Autoglym glass cleaner both sides of windows.Always give it a quick clean before every trip though so it looks "nice".

Wash and winter wax before putting away for winter, wash when we first use in spring. Wipe the bird plop off the back if needed (storage pitch is right under a tree Sad) but thats about it.  Life is too short for washing cars or caravans.

Definitely washed it before selling it.  Apart from that; as infrequently as I could bear.

Before we went on our recent trip, we washed the van - except for the roof.  When we were on the boat watching the other vehicles loading, we saw another Romahome - and it's roof was filthy too!

Question is, how do you wash the roof - assuming that you can't actually stand on it?

If you find out, let me know. I haven't washed mine yet. I have a pressure washer with a rotary brush attachment but it is rather unwieldy if held at arms length. Got to wash the solar panel though or I won't get many amps in the winter.

We have a ladder on the back of our motorhome and the vast majority if the roof can be walked on. We wash with a long handled brush that used to attach to the hosepipe (fitting broke ) *** that's quite 'easy' can even do the overhead cab. However washing
the underside of the overhead cab is very difficult, always a bit where it joins the windscreen that isn't completely clean. If anyone has any tips for that area, we do use a short set of steps for this area.  That said we are not car or motorhome washers
once a season is sufficient unless its got really bad.  *** that's why the long handled brush hasn't been replaced

One of the nice things about changing from a motorhome to a caravan is the caravan is so easy and quick to wash.

A local car wash, staffed with very energetic and hardworking East Europeans washes our caravan twice a year for £55 including hand waxing. Which means one less hated chore for us. In between times we just rectify obvious splatters and rinse down with water
and Bobby Dazzler. I've always been impressed with the way most members keep their vans clean. In the old days to took two of us two days over Easter to clean up properly - and we have a pressure washer with a rotating brush. Thank goodness for today's convenience.

I can't get my caravan anywhere near my house.  So I'm going to have to get into a routing of cleaning the dead flies off the front when I'm actually away, so that it doesn't build up into an un-washable mess.

I never wash my caravan. I wipe it down with a clean cloth including the roof and then set about waxing it with Autoglyms High Definition Wax. Brilliant stuff that keeps black streaks at bay for weeks and the gloss finish is amazing. I take as few chance
as possible- water and British Caravans should be kept apart as much as possible!!
