The twenty foot rule

I know why we park our vans and motorhomes 20 ft apart but I need some advice from some of the experienced rally organisers out there.. My question is this: if the caravans are pitched side by side, nose to tail - can the 20ft be measured from the caravan
bodywork(ie the gas bottle locker at the front) to the back of the next van in the line,or does it have to be measured from the hitch? All advice will be gratefully received, thank you.

mmm, really don't know! I would a) play it safe and do it from the hitch or b) ring/email the club.

is this on club owned land?

If you look on the North Yorkshire Centre website ( https://nycentre1.wordpress.com/about/rally-officer/ ) it gives recommended spacing for outfits in detail.

A twenty foot rule? Wouldn't a tape measure be less cumbersome?
