Enterprise car hire

Not quite sure where this applies but I'm sure it will be relocated if necessary. We booked a car rental with enterprise for Weds 24th.We used Enterprise as the CC has an affiliation with them. We were going to the NEC with friends, both in motorhomes and
decided it was cheaper to stay at Broadway and hire a car for 3 days instead of booking the club car park at the NEC. We booked for us to be picked up from the site at 4pm. They eventually arrived at 5.20pm despite 2 phone calls to the office leaving us standing
in the cold for 1 hour and 20 mins. When we got to the office we had to inspect the car in the dark and by torchlight. We then realised it was a 3 door and we had booked a 5 door though another one was found for us. I wanted to pay by debit card, but couldn't
as I hadn't got 2 pieces of identification with my address on it. No offer of an upgrade nor discount for the inconvenience we had to endure. All in all not a good experience, so wont use them again.

    Used them many years ago, didn't rate them then.

    Also had bad experiences with Europcar.

    Now always use small independent agents.

    We used them twice last year and can't fault them. On one hire we had to have the car a day earlier than booked as they were closed on the sunday. They didn't charge us for the extra day plus I got an extra discount from them for the inconvenience. All in
    all we were happy.

    Sounds like you get a different service from different branches. They sell on service so I would write to their head office about the problems.

    With firms that size you are always going to get the odd problem so difficult to say if the problems listed are more general but on the only recent ocassion I have dealt with them they were excellent.
