Mayday do indeed recover Caravans. They are Green Flag but use the Mayday logo for their deal with the Caravan Club. You should download their brochure if you can and check out the terms but many, many members use Mayday as their recovery insurance.

Bit flummoxed by your thread title though! You don't have to be towing to get their breakdown if that is what you mean. You pick the cover just like with AA and RAC.

Mayday cover your car whether towing or not. Had to call them when broke down without the caravan,  good service, temp fix so I could get home. Was advised to replace part, which we did.

We have Mayday cover and found the service on the two occasions we have used it first class. It also gives more cover as it covers a breakdown of the caravan and double cover if you break down on the way to a site. This means they will take you to the site and take you home afterwards if the car cannot be repaired during your stay.

I have been with Mayday for many years and had to use the service on several occasions, both solo and with the van. They are by far the best on the market in my opinion (worth the club membership for this alone). The double journey cover is brilliant.

After my heart attack I uprated my Mayday cover to their Premium level so if I am taken ill again they will bring my car and caravan home, even though they are not damaged. Peace of mind for me as my OH is not a driver.

I used Mayday to recover my sons car late night a couple of weeks ago, cant fault the service, no quibble and informed (after recovery to home) to just ring if we want the car moving again to a repair facility.

the insurance on my cars (2) are due for renewal end of this month, insurance is not a problem, but, breakdown is..one car is used for towing the caravan, the other tows a transporter trailer,do you recomend Mayday for breakdown cover,as the one I have now only covers breakdown(roadside) ??

Aa do recover caravans but only one journey.  I went with rac so if I break down on the way to a holiday they will take me there and then when I'm finished the holiday they will take me home if necessary.

with the aa they would only take you home.  Or I guess they'd take you to your holiday but then they wouldn't take you home.

Not sure if Mayday will cover you for the trailer, I would ring them and ask. You need to make sure cover from others covers faults in the trailer.

I have had Mayday for many years and find them very good. I have 'personal cover' for myself and my wife. This means that ANY vehicle we are travelling in is covered, not just our own cars. You pay a little bit extra for this but it is well worth it if you travel in any other vehicle.Mayday will cover your car & caravan or your motorhome and i'm sure it covers a trailer but best to check with them that it covers your needs.

I can thoroughly recommend Mayday too.  Although the policy is with the Caravan Club, the service piggy-backs on the Green Flag system, but the cover is different - you won't get the same cover if you sign up directly with Green Flag.  The additional Personal Cover will also cover you in any car - even if uou are a passenger (as stated above by bobg)

I can fully endorse all the positive comments stated above about Mayday. It works and their service standard is to arrive within the hour. On the occasions I have needed to use them they always met their service standard.

Write your comments here...  I think AA do cover caravans but only up to 7m.

I'd like to endorse the above with 'Mayday' Green Flag, both my wife and I have our cars and the caravan covered by them with the 'Premium' policy, and have done for years. Trouble is we have never had the need to use them so don't know what they're like Happy
