Hi everyone,

With Easter less than a month away, I was wondering if anyone had any plans and who will be out and about in the caravan or motorhome?

We are travelling down to Cambridge for 9 days to visit the in laws, however as we couldnt get an awning pitch at Cherry Hinton, we joined the other club who had such pitches available.

Write your comments here...yes, taking our tourer to Kilkerran Caravan site near Maybole in Ayrshire, inside a walled garden, for Easter....Sheer bliss, peace and quiet, and general chit chat with some of the regulars...National Trust at Culzean Castle always
a great trip out . The site is very friendly, spotless toilets and showers, even has classical music playing and vases of flowers in them to ease you into your day.

It sounds like there are some good plans in place.

Just to let you know we still have availability on many Club Sites. To quickly check what's available use our
UK Sites Booking search.  Don't forget The Club's fantastic CL network too. My colleague Sandie, started a discussion regarding

    Easter Availability
for CL Sites that might be helpful. Smile

Never go away bank holidays....pieces go up (for same service you will get cheaper when over), the roads are a mad rush the night before to get the most time available and invariably the weather is not brilliant. We too are away week after, but a nice long
weekend for those that enjoy the break.

We are staying 6 nights at our "local" Hebeden Bridge CC site. It is less than 30 minutes from home so no traffic problems but we could be 100 miles from home its so a great location.

We are going away for 11 nights during the easter holidays. We are having a week at Scarborough West Ayton CC site and then 4 nights at Berwick Seaview CC which is one of our favourite sites. Looking forward to it now

Going to a Temporary Holiday Site at Bishopsthorpe near York with the C&CC.  Will cycle past Rowntree Park on way into York.  No chance of getting in there! Also less then £6 a night. No facilities though, need my solar panel.

I'm with the admiral! As retired folk we leave bank holidays well alone. Busy sites, packed roads. No thanks, we're heading down to Devon & Cornwall for a couple of weeks in April when the bank holiday rush is well and truly over

Away at the moment and will get home the week before Easter, as we never go out over the Easter weekend, but will be setting off straight after for our extended trip to East Anglia and will be away then till after the Spring Bank holiday week.

We like others here leave the Bank Holidays for those un retired folk.  Do not like to be away with the crowds.

I try and avoid BH traffic as well. It's a luxury that those of us who are retired can enjoy as we don't have to optimize our time away by utilising BH's like working folk.

Between school and work holidays we're only able to get away for the long Bank Holiday weekend. Spending the long weekend at Donnewell Farm CL County Durham with the intention of visiting the Beamish Museum while we are there.
