There are many myths surrounding the hobby of Camping and Caravanning. Most are a figment of somebody's over zealous imagination and been told and retold over the years.  It might be fun to debunk those myths.

I'll start :-    There is absolutely no truth in the myth that during the Flag Pole opening ceremony on a CC rally, that the Ralliers all hold hands slowly circling the flag chanting  Ging Gang Goolie Goolie Watcha.---  At least not in Scotland.

It is also not true that there are those who would outstay their welcome on some sites. Its just a myth that has been cultivated and spread around by those who think they can stay longer than anyone else.Sad

I can also confirm that the rumour that CC sites are inundated with dog mess is just a myth that has been spread by campers who have ruined their flip flops while walking around in the dark

Its a myth that arriving caravanners block the entrances of camp sites by arriving well before the permitted arrival time just to grab the best pitches before others.

Sorry, but I have seen that myth busted on more than one occasion. By the way, we were not part of the blockage.

It's a myth that certain posters complain at the strict adherence to T&C's just to complain the first time they see no strict adherence to the T&C's.
