Do you ever wonder......
Where 'vans and motys are off to when you pass them on the motorway. We are on M6 at mo and passed a couple of 'vans...are they going somewhere lovely away from rain, are they going for a few days away break or are they just droppingoff/picking up for a
service etc. We like to think it's something much more exciting to kill our journey away.

Before I retired I was a night truck driver and in the main holiday weeks in August when I was on my way back to the midlands in the night I would see lots of caravans and motorhomes on there way south on the M5 heading for Devon and Cornwall, many would
get past Bristol in the night and park up on the services, but for me being also a caravaner was great to see everyone going on holiday.0 -
If you see me today - nothing exciting. I'm bringing van home from servicing.

Write your comments here...Well Jill
If there's nothing wrong with the van like repairs or damp I would think it will be a great day.

Had a new motor mover fitted as ours developed a fault in the mechanism so a bit more expensive. Other than that, no problems, damp or
anything else.0 -
We tend to pass comment on them, nice one, too big, too small or how could they let it get in that state or whatever seems appropriate.
We do similar....the car's too small for a van that size!!! OOhh he's left his rooflight up!! Look there's a new Unicorn; Did you see the size of that Motorhome!!...etc

in 2002 a client casually mentioned that he was going off to bank to get euros before setting off in his M/H for the winter to Spain or wherever. Got me thinking and mentally making exciting trips away culminating in buying a van (a Dethleffs Bus II) in
2003.0 -
Yes I wonder and dream too and check for missing wing mirrors, Also confess to writing mystery stories around neighbours on sites. I think the best had to be a large M H that arrived with 2 females but the driver vanished and wasn't seen again. Had she
been chopped up and fed to the dogs? The second female drove off a couple of days later apparently quite alone(except for the dogs)!0 -
Each Tuesday evening on our way out we pass a layby where the same motorhome is parked. It doesn't appear to be there any other night but (almost) every Tuesday and is not there suring the day. We often wonder who they are and why they are there every week.

Hello there,
I am brand new to Club Together and am very much looking forward to getting more involved with our lovely members and helping where I can.
Hi StatusMoty1. I definitely notice tourers more than I used to. Since working at The Club, I now find myself playing spot the Swift etc. (There are other lovely makes out there).
Pippah45, I am loving your imagination . My girlfriends and I often make up very exciting stories when people-watching at a cafe
etc.0
