That did make me laugh out loud. I note, with interest, the other articles linked on the page...Fat people boycott the Oscars and Mark Zuckerburg to give away both his lungs.

I was very relieved to see the other tongue in cheek articles as I was having a slight panic that I might be the anti-social type referred to in the caravan piece Winking

I do like garden centres, tupperware and have been known to seal a partially-consumed family packet of crisps with a peg. We bought our first caravan a couple of years ago so clearly I am on a slippery slope... Laughing

Given they thought £15,000 was the price of an average caravan they had not done their research before trying to wind us up.

The point they always miss, in my humble opinion, is that, no matter what the price of the caravan, when you've been away for a holiday in it you still own it. After forking out for the aforementioned suite at The Ritz it doesn't belong to you, you merely
paid loadsa money to borrow it

Surprised seeing as they are in the physco stuff they have never considered the biggest benefit to caravanners - improved health through less stress.   Dont know about the rest of you but as soon as we leave home I switch off to anything not connected to
    the trip

I found it quite funny, and slightly worrying as I do like a good value garden centre lunch and have a delightful selection of colour coded and variously sized Tupperware. The bit about leaving a perfectly nice house to sit in a random field rang true, particularly
back in our camping days, freezing in a frosty tent, we did ask ourselves "why are we doing this again?". But I've been trying to loathe myself, just as a test, and I'm not very good at it, so I think I'll just carry on happily caravanning. Happy

I think it is brilliant, the more people put off by this assumption, the quieter the roads and more freedom of pitches.  Happy

Yes I too use pegs to close half used bags of food and like tupperware. I had better find a counsellor tomorrow - although i might have a long wait! Laughing
