Well, we've done it.  Swapped our beloved Avondale Dart 470/2 for a brand new (albeit 2015) Eldis Xplore 504.  Its with our deepest regrets that our Avondale is now going.  After years of tenting, then folding camping, the Avondale was our first caravan.
After looking at other caravans, this was by far the best.  But with OH now getting on in years (he will kill me for that), he's fed up making the bed up every night.

We collect our new 'van, hopefully, on WednesdayHappy

    Congratulations Tombar looks a lovely caravan, we went for a fixed bed as my OH was fed up with making up the bed too.

    Hope you get away soon, enjoy. Smile

    Congratulations. I hope you get as much enjoyment from your Eldis as you did from your Avondale.

    I've always thought that Avondale made the best looking Caravans and they bring a smile to my face when I see them still being used. Yes, they had their faults but, like yourselves, if you found a good one then you would be reluctant to
    let it go.

    I hope your new van is at least as reliable as your Avondale.

    Thanks everyone.  I think we went at the best time, winter.  The caravan has been outside so with all the rain, if there was a leak, you would have seen it.  I'm always upset when anything goes.  Its always the same with cars, especially when they've given
    good service.  At least now I can have a lie in.  OH was always up first and off to the showers and I would then have to get up as I put it back to sitting mode.
