Contrary to what you may see on the road and on campsites, caravan owners outnumber motorhome owners by about 3 to 1 in the Club at the moment.

.. 3 to 1, goodness me how fast the world is changing! I remember when it was just the odd one or two motorcaravans on a site! They do seem to be getting even more popular today!

Especially at this time of year, see lots of M/H's on the A9 but no caravans.

Perhaps because Motorhome are so expensive they need to be used all year, to justify the outlay? Mind you caravans are not that cheap either these days.

Think the swing to motorhomes is because of the hassle of towing (myself not included, A-frame plus car) and a perception of freedom, which can be a bit of a myth. What with all the parking restrictions (in the UK anyway).

Ray, all pretty good, thanks .... Nothing is ever perfect, especially in the world of MHing, but it does most of what we want.....

altough we have to get a lot more out of this one before we look to change, I reckon we will go a little smaller next time.

the vline ticked a lot of boxes, high roofline, underfloor pipe work etc, a really good PVC

We were at Chatsworth for the Fireworks and the caravans were a minority. Seems they only go out when it's warm. We use our MH all year round.

We used to travel to site with a full tank of water in the RV. It was huge and it did affect handling although not badly.  Other times we would have to come back with full grey and black tanks - that wasnt so bad as they were lower down. We could do a long
weekend without filling or emptying anything.
