I'm not concerned with someone in a striped jumper with a jemmy in their hand my concern is with Internet fraud/identity theft.  I'm constantly surprised at the amount of information people give away on forums and even their e-mail addresses.

Agreed, One, it's the intellectual theft as much as the physical.

Incidentally mine is a  readily binnable alias.

Husky I live in a back road in Lincolnshire my immediate neighbour is great the other half of his house rubbish so if I posted on the three Cs forum it would be asking for trouble.  I do not live in fear I just believe in being careful.  It is common knowledge
on CT that I am in France helping with my very sick brother but  why would I want to tell anyone else I am not at home and identify that home by my name?  I have been able to ask for help with stuff  relating to camping in France for example how I find chemical
waste disposal point as MHs use.  Thank you very much helpers!    I guess it's all relative but I stick with my opinion that the C& CC may have made a mistake on this issue.  Management should definitely be able to identify members in case of bad behaviour
but the rest of the membership - not in my opinion. Smile

I and others made the strongest case we could to C&CC, Pippah, but they refused to budge. Hence, I refuse to use their forum.

Like others I have also been in contact with the C&CC about this issue and I have clearly got the same response as others. Whilst they dress it up under the banner of being the friendly club I think the real purpose is a way of controlling the content of
the forum as they feel if people have to use their real names they are less likely to get involved in the more contensious things that tend to happen on forums from time to time and anyone who reads the forum can see that it is not that hard hitting.

On the C&CC forum you should not give any personal information or as to your plans for the future although I would have to say the chances of anyone using it are pretty slim.

I pop in on the C&CC forum for a browse now and again and observe simple questions, which woud be answered quite swiftly on CT, seem to go unanswered or at least take a long time for a response. Another sign of a small audience or an unwillingness to post.

Write your comments here...And yet to have to sign in every time you wish to visit their forum. Not like on here which you can access without logging in.It would appear whatever this club does the CCC does it differently.

It is still in its infancy and I think this forum was rather similar at this stage. It does however have no way I know of for jumping to the last post which might prevent threads reaching the scale of some on here.

You can alter the way the posts are displayed but what is slightly confusing is that the original post always stays at the top but the ones under this are is order of last posted.

Write your comments here...I find that a lot better so if you browse a topic you can immediately read what it is about before loooking at the latest replies unlike this forumwhere yo have to go to the first page to read the topic then skip to the end to
    read the latest thread.

    Hello Titiwangso.

Unfortunately, we don't have the facility to move a single post from one section to another but, if you'd like to repost in the Introductions Section, I'll delete your post from here.
