Hot water boiler on all time or just when needed?

Interesting to read these contrasting ways of going about things. Must admit, I've never really given it much thought. We really don't have room to use the shower in the van, so we only really use hot water for washing up. Switch it on 20 minutes or so before
we need it ( if we remember!) and off once we've finished.0 -
We use it for everything but just put it on as we need it although again we have left it on by accident from time to time without problem. I do not like waste which is why I switch it off but I do not think there is a safety element to it.
Our Truma unit can however draw 9 amps on the second setting so if you have the water heater and blown air going you would have to watch what else you had on.

We only heat the water as we need it. Doesn't take long

We have the Alde wet heatting system so normally leave it on. If we don't want the heating, the thermostat is turned down.
You can select the kilowatt rating to suit available power.

I think most there is to said has been, however we leave ours switched on all the time in the cold months as a little heat given off helps with heating but in warm months switch it off if not using for long periods. Guess it what suits you, just try various
combinations and you will find your prfered setting.0
