If a Fench man broke down in England and used his Euro breakdown service, how many UK operators would be able to speak to him in his Mother tongue?

It certainly looks as though you might be better off with Red Pennant, Natasha2.

    Hi

I am about to take delivery of my first caravan. There has been a myriad things to do and aquire, insurance still not yet sorted, and I have just thought to check my recovery service. - Autoaid. Delighted to find that caravan recovery/help is included at
no additional premium to the £42.35 standard charge. This is the first caravan related expense that has turned out to be less than expected Wink

I have had to use them in the past and the service was excellent. So I thought I'd mention them here - in my very first post.

The recovery may be only for the car breakdown as most are. Ring them and check if the caravan breaks down if they will still attend as if not the cover is no good. If they will add the caravan for breakdown cover all well and good but if not then you need
Mayday or similar but I would still look at your policies limits even if they will give cover for the caravan.

Mayday has lots more cover which you might want anyway. This is double recovery which will take you to a site if you break down on the way and return you home afterwards if repairs cannot be carried out before you are due to leave. It will also cover you
if the car breaks down while you are off site and recover the caravan from the site to take you home which most others will not.

I think the only other policy with the wide cover we need is the RAC through the C&CC.

A fair point which makes Red Pennant worth having as it offers multi lingual staff....
