Is anyone thinking of doing a short break within 2hrs of Hereford?   Gower? Pembs? Cotswolds? Aberdovey?  I would love to hear?   I cannot make definate dates too far ahead for personal reasons.   Missed Wales as 'van was shunted and in for repair.  Cheers

I have picked a short last minute break at Bourton in the Water - arriving tomorrow  30th and leaving Monday for Ferrymeadows.  I might be quite busy with family stuff but it would be nice to see a friendly Solo face.

Hello - Bourton sounds great Pippa - but tomorrow is a little too last minute - my moggy-minder is away   I may well be interested in a later trip in July - do keep us posted on that one(samsmum) As I have a small m'home I try and stay within easy walking
distance of a shop to save upsticks unneccessarily.  Is it ever going to stop raining?

It's a nice site but no shops in walking distance.  Weather is not bad really just the odd shower.  Wonderful countryside and Bourton looks to be a shoppers paradise!  All ideal for my chill out break.  One lady Loner here too.

I am also planning a couple of weeks in the Cotswolds.

I have booked 4 nights Moreton in Marsh, 7 nights Cirencester park and 4 nights Broadway. I am hopeful of making it as scheduled but I do have a 94 year old father with advanced dementia and if his condition deteriorates I may have to change plan.

I expect to be at Ferry Meadows by Monday next.

Hi Pippah I am here until Friday. There is a dog show at the show ground Friday to Sunday so I decided not to stay the weekend. Home for a week then off to the Cotswolds if my Dad is still OK.

I should be there tomorrow - which area are you parked in?  I need to be reasonably close to dog walk which if memory serves is outside the gate?  I would have taken your booking but no vacancies now I need to be in the area till Monday but am now booked
    down the road from Friday.

And I wasn't banned!  just rubbish CC wifi again!  They took a years money off me and then I struggled to get any reception!

I moved on to a C&CC no probes with wifi and I was asked what my criteria for pitch was they couldn't have been more helpful even volunteering to unhitched for me.  Then a neighbour turned up and offered himself and two friends if there was anything I needed!
Mind you a kind CC neighbour came to help this morning too. :). Thank you gentlemen!

Hi Yes I am due to arrive on Sunday with my dog Poppy.

yes I do like dogs and have had at least 1 dog for most of my life. Poppy was chased by 2 Labradors when we were staying on the Scarborough West Ayton site and she hasn't forgotten.

    I have a blue Auto-Sleeper Symbol.

    look forward to meeting.

Have booked Moreton in Marsh - will arr. Sunday pm. I have a small m/home with a somewhat unfortunate number plate that almost spells V...GRA  .   My dog was beaten up by a lab, a long time ago and is now rooted to the spot when another dog appears but loves
a game given a chance.  I saw you avoided the dog show - that is why I thought you may be anti-dog.   See you there

That wasn't just a dog show the whole area was crawling with dogs - Ferry Meadows had dozens of them yapping and barking!  I think it was for dog fanatics - not just plain old dog lovers like most of us!  My labrador was attacked by some mutt not long ago
and its made her very wary of strange dogs too - I wish people would keep aggressive dogs under control.
