Enjoy your trip, it's great to see the solos venturing abroad and still going strong, September in France is that little bit quieter but relaxing with good weather, enjoy the food, especially the French cakes and those glasses of wine,

I just noticed this thread and can I say, we stayed at site 1314 last year and it was very pleasant. The owners didn't speak English but were helpful when we found that our caravan had a punctured tyre.

It's just up the road from the American Cemetary and well placed for a lot of the WW2 sights.

We all arrived safe and sound!  Non stop sunshine since we got here!  Campsites have been lovely.  Lots of sightseeing, walking and drinking - especially drinking!!  The company has been brilliant!  Look forward to meeting you later Brian.

We are now on a lovely site in Saumur, on an island in the middle of the Loire.  The weather has been amazing.  32° yesterday and an amazing thunderstorm during the night.  Dry again today so we are off for a walk along the river.

It's a bit cool over there then.  It was 34 here yesterday and it feels about the same again today.  No Storms here in Leicestershire but I gather they had a real doozie yesterday in Manchester.

That is a nice site in Saumur although I arrived after a storm last year and the van sank into a hole!  A Frenchman, a Dutchman and an Englishman helped to extricate me!  Those troglodyte places interested me in that area.

I'm on the ferry on my way home.  I've just watched Absolutely Fabulous at the on board cinema which just about describes our amazing holiday.  Came out and had a 6.30 glass of red wine!  Thanks to you all for the best holiday ever!  Many thanks to Martin
for doing a great job organising everything!  I hope Phil and Clive enjoy the rest of their holiday.  Look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Just like to agree with all the complimentary remarks made about the tour even though I had to retire hurt after two weeks.  All ok now though.  Good idea of Martin's and enjoyed the company of all present.

Off again Thursday to willingcott, Devon for four nights then on to cornwall if weather is kind. Cheers everyone.
