I am wondering whether to bring the fondue set - the Hairy Bikers did a lovely cheese one the other day!

I'll be there until Friday.  A cheese fondu sounds good I have not had one of them for something like thirty years.  I must admit I've been trying to find the set I had but it seems to have vanished.   See you there.

I don't think I ever had any but meat ones back then - so time to try cheese I think - if anyone has nice pickles at home do bring them along!

Yes please, as I have just taken delivery of 10kg of locally grown Aberdeen Angus does anyone fancy a beef stew and dumplings one night?

Wow beef stew and dumplings count me in.  Will you need taties to go with that? I still have plenty left and they are starting to think about sprouting so it would be good to use them. Do you need any carrots or onions to go with that?  I've got a few different
home made chutneys too I'll fetch a few of them with me.

Beef stew sounds great although I might pass on the dumplings!  Some carrots to dip in the cheese fondue would be good Laughing

Yes please to all three Peter.

Followed by a Baileys cheesecake and a long walk with the dogs.

Isn't Jane the cheesecake queen,  have to ask her for that and as I don't have a dog the long walk is a non starter.  The cat does not do walkies.  In fact these days she doesn't even do outdoors unless the sun is shining.

Hopefully - there is now a crisis with my grandson who is in hospital and bad enough for my son to be flying back from China to be there
    Undecided

PS tried one recipe for Cheese Fondue and I would not call it a great success - just have to keep practising!

I hope your grandson improves.  It must be pretty serious if your son is flying back from China.  I'm sure no one is going to expect to see you if he doesn't get better pretty quickly.

    Hope we do see you.

    Peter

Thank you Peter it's such a bizarre situation all round my last visit revealed even more flaws in the routine etc.  Fingers crossed that he will be fine.  I think Poolsbrook might be closer for a trip down though.

The new mover goes on my caravan today no wonder I couldn't use it at Chapel Lane It was dead!

Thank  you Meg - it seems that he was discharged today but running a high temp tonight from a "hospital acquired virus" so I have been invited down to take care of the rug rats while he is being taken back to hospital now!  They are going to have to wait till Sunday though - I am not quite ready to roll tomorrow!  I really don't like being in such an untrusting position to not believe anything they say!

Hi, Pippah. I was thinking of going but now going up to Preston and Liverpool at the request of friends. Been getting the MH ready for a busy touring season. I now have 2 leisure batteries and a high power inverter for the independence away from sites.

Back to subject of NZ, if you want to discuss it further do text to 07710 295052. I'm about to confirm a place for me. Rob.

Hi, again Pippah. I've only just seen the post about your grandson. What a worry for you all. Has there been any improvement?  I was recalled from Sri Lanka some years ago when a friend's son contracted meningitis when it racing around universities. It was
touch and go but he's fine now. I'm sure the 24 hour vigils and lots of goodwill greetings helped. Air Lanka were fantastic.

So far so good Thank you but they put a child with hacking cough in the bed next to him.  He is now out of hospital but coughing and his mother my son and her friend are poorly with flu acquired in the hospital.  I am feeling a bit mean not going in the
house but am keeping the dogs happy and food supplied not to mention the trip to London for son's medical supplies!  It's good to challenge my comfort zone!  London was way outside it but what a trip down memory lane! Happy
