Hello,  I would like to find out more about Solo Caravining !

So I am planning to attend the pub meeting in Chieveley.

I've been towing my van about 18 months, quite happy, but sometimes it would be nice to meet others and share good ideas tackling caravan problems, or, putting up an awing on your own, (I can now do this !).

Write your comments here...Hi Angela  and welcome to Solos .

You are most welcome to come and join us at Chieveley ,  we are all in the same boat ,  or should that be caravan as we are all single people.  We are mainly widowed or divorced and I don't see why we shouldn't have friendship whilst away,  without having
to join club's membership fees et cetera, this is why Solos works regardless of where you are and what you are doing

Thanks Vivien I will be there.

I found out about Solos from CC who were at the Manchester Caravan Show last week, and a lovely lady said oh yes, there are many people who, for lots of reasons, are solo caravanners.

Its a nice little pub that sells food etc, we will probably meet in the car park area if it's not cold or pouring with rain, if not, we will be inside. So far we are all ladies attending, so a group of ladies should be easy to find! Lol

We will of course lookabout for any solos person entering the pub, hmust in case they are a lost Solo.

    See you on the 6th!

Hi, I was going to treat myself and bring the caravan so I could stay overnight but I'm unsure how strong the winds are going to get up to?  The forcast says strong coastal winds.  Would I be ok travelling south on the A419 to Swindon?  Would appreciate
    your opinions :)

    Many thanks

Write your comments here... From what I remember it was quite a nice site, quite now the dual carriage way has been built. Also not far from the Market at the greyhound track on Sunday

such fab recommendations on places to visit.  Thank you to Vivien, Carolyn and Angela.  Was a really lovely day xx
