Thanks for the link and info Bugs. Smile

Unfortunately I won't be at the show this year but I know my colleagues are looking forward to welcoming people on the The Caravan Club stand.

Pliers, I hope you enjoy the show and let us know your show highlights. Also don't forget to visit The Caravan Club stand to say hello.

Is there anyone else at the show today? Would be great to hear from you...

Really enjoyed the show, very busy, as always, and lots to see.

We didn't go to buy, our 'van is less than a year old, but we somehow came home with an Isabella Shadow sun canopy.

    Highly recomended!

    Thanks for that!

Did you find the parking was OK?

I only ask because it's been commented on in the past!

    Cheers

Hi, Bugs. We arrived at Event City at about 10.30. They had stewards organising the car parking, so no problem at all. Just a short stroll from the car park to the event entrance. We left the show at about 2ish, and moved the car onto the main Trafford Centre
car park, we wanted to go to the cinema (Star Wars) and then get something to eat (Carluccios).

    Great day out all round.

    Sounds Good!

What did you think of Star Wars? We watched it in 3D - and I can't forget how the pointy end of the Imperial Cruiser was in the seat next to me LOL!

Does the show open at 9.30 on Saturday and Sunday, rather than 10am?  I've got complimentary tickets and it states that on there; can't find anything on the official website about opening times though, and in previous years it's opened at 10am.

    Does anybody know?

Found the answer on the website - but only by googling it. Once I got to the relevant page, it was called Essential Information, but I can't see that when accessing the HomepageSad

Anyway, it does say it opens at 9.30 on Sat and Sun, so will get there earlier rather than later.

You've beaten me to it, Ina, but I've just checked in the Showguide we picked up yesterday, and yes, opening time is 9.30 on Sat and Sun.

Bugs, we both loved Star Wars, still a couple of kids at heart. So glad you escaped the pointed end of Cruiser, would have been very painful!

Thanks very much for the confirmation.  I was a bit confused (easily done!!) because in previous years the opening time has been 10am on all days.  Good to know, we'll set off in time to get there by 9.30, it's much quieter the first couple of hours

    Thanks again.

I popped down on Thursday and had an interesting few hours checking out motorhomes rather than caravans...

My favourite was the knaus Sky TI 700 MEG.but think we may stick with caravans until we retire which is not too far away,

The show was manageable in one day unlike the NEC but did not have some of the ranges I would like to have seen ie.Pilote.

The CC stand was standing room only!

There didnt seem to be as many motorhomes there as normal.

I think you are wise to hold onto the caravan till after retirement.  Motorhomes need to be used and if you are are an average caravanner and working you will not be able to use it that much.  Once you have retired things change and you can be more flexible
when you get out and where you can go
