Smart Battery Charger
Hi ,
I've been looking at getting a smart charger for my leisure battery and looking through previous posts ntek chargers seem to be recomended often but they seem quite expensive...
I've been having a look around, and I have seen these chargers.
and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Maypole-7423A-Battery-Charger-Electronic/dp/B009A83P1E
They are cheaper especially the maypole one, but am I missing key features that the ntek has but these dont? I want to keep the battery as healthy as possible but i'm on a bit of a budget, is this something I shouldn't scrimp on?
Thanks
Laura

I have one of these. https://www.aldi.co.uk/car-battery-charger/p/093683045806900 It has recovered a very flat battery for me, and maintains my boat and caravan batteries over the winter without fuss. No fancy features, but it does what I need. They have
just gone from my local Aldi, but often a few remain.0 -
Wallacebob that does look a bargain! Does it stop charging when the battery is fully charged etc? or do you need to keep an eye on it?

they put the battery on a maintenance cycle ... you can connect it to your battery & forget about it. Ald/Lidl frequently have them in, I have a couple of them.

Yes, it's cleverer than I am. Although primarily a simple charger, it can recover discharged batteries, and has a cold weather setting for faster charging. Once battery is charged it goes into trickle mode.
