We are thinking of purchasing 2 of these bikes - has anyone got one and would they recommend one?

We have just bought a couple of bikes from Volt. British quality bikes and I must say they are very good. Superb customer service too. Worth a look.

I also have a Volt bike and love it, I also agree with you regarding their customer service, it really is second to none.

I think before investing in electric bikes you really do need to establish what sort of use you will put them to. If its likely that you will use them a lot and are already experienced cyclists then investing in good quality bikes is likely to be worth while. I would also add that if you are used to using bikes with a good range of gears this is something you need to pay attention to on any bike you buy. However if you are only likely to use them occassionally some of the less expensive bikes will be perfectly satisfactory. We have a couple of Pro Rider bikes which we use mainly whilst abroad. They have a good range and they not too bulky and can be folded. Margaret is not keen on riding on busy roads so we tend to only use them where there are good off road cycling paths, more common in Europe than in the UK, with the exception of Milton Keynes, of courseWink

The GTech seem to have one bonus point...the weight. Most are over 20Kg even though some sellers advertise lower weights!

However one gear and the price are negatives for me.

We have Evoras which we find more than adequate....and we can lift them onto the bike rack!

    Under 17Kg ex battery.

Sorry, can't post a live link on this forum

Done it for you. Not quite sure why you can't post clickable links, what system are you using?

I have the Evora mentioned above for travelling and my self converted mountain bike for home.

The Evora is perfectly adequate for my needs and I'd recommend them as long as you aren't aiming to do 50km rides. Laughing
