Caravan Canopy
Hi there we currently have a Kampa 260 Awning which is great for the longer break, but its a bit much just for the weekend. So we are looking to puschase one of the Caravanstore Canopies. I am sure you have pros and cons regarding these. Would like to hear
your views.
Was a bit concerned with the fitting instructions on the net. " about making the awning rail wider"

My Fiamma Caravanstore Zip goes through the normal awning rail although it helps to have another pair of hands to guide it. I did see a very simple canopy on a site recently that wouldn't have been so hard on the pocket. I didn't get its make though.
I find mine really simple to take up and down though and love the option to put on the sides and/or front.0 -
If you have already used the awning rail for your Kampa ,i would think a caravanstore will go into it ok,as Pippa says there are "cheaper" alternatives,
Although caravanstore or the Thule omnistore can remain in situe when travelling just check that it will not foul/damage your exteirior light when rolled up in the bag,as they do move when traveling

We had one of the first Caravanstores, and now have a Caravanstore Zip, both have been good, we have used the zip a lot and have no other awning.
Sometimes we use the whole thing, sometimes just the canopy, but often the canopy + 1 side.
No problem getting it into the awning rail on our Sterling.
The Zip has been in use for 9 seasons now, some 800-900 nights, so is almost worn out. We are not sure how long we will be keeping the caravan so are thinking to replace it with a fairly simple canopy due to the cost of a complete Zip.
