Hi all, we are in the market for some new towing mirrors for our BMW X3, as our current ones have developed lots of wobble.  This may be due to the straps stretching and snapping.

i would welcome any recommendations as there are so many out there.

cheers in advance

Milenco Aero - best we have found & fitted in seconds once you have them adjusted for the first time.

Another vote for Milenco Aero's. Much better than the ones we had with straps, which vibrated terribly.

Another agree for Milenco Aero. These mirrors give much better stabilty than the strap type fittings. I have them on my Toyota Rav4, but have the grips sitting in the bottom of the car mirror, as there was not a lot of room trying to get them into the slightly
bent top of the mirror. The bottom is a flat part of the car mirror cowling, so it slides in well. When tightened up they do not shake at all.

    We also have Millenco Aeros.

They do vibrate a bit (worse than the old version with the straps) but acceptable.

Annoying thing is that they never seem to go in the same position twice. I have to adjust them before every journey, as they are either pointing at the sky or the ground.

Also, if fitting them the night before, I find the attachment screws always have to be re-tightened the next morning.

Aero Milenco`s, I don`t adjust the mirrors themselves but via the securing bars.

I've never used them, but have never fancied the idea of them, I like to have use of the car's mirrors too ..... on smaller/narrower B roads I tend to tip the nearside mirror down a bit to see the nearside of the road as a guide to keep me in the lane

Yes I'm with MM.  I like to see the wheels of the caravan especially when doing tight manouvering on sites.  I needed the 'f' rubbers (an extra from Milenco) to ensure a secure fit to the car mirrors; VWs need these as there is a slight height difference
between the black trim and the coloured mirror housing.
