Gas bottle footprint
My new (second-hand) caravan has the straps to hold two gas bottles (6kg Calor propane) in place, and one "footrpint" i.e. plastic fitment on floor to position the bottle and hold it in place. The other one's missing; just the screwholes visible.... Does
anyone know (a) the correct term for these and / or (b) where I could get hold of one - I can't seem to find anything on, e.g. towsure.

If you can't get hold of a proper one, then I would just use a suitable piece of wood screwed to the floor using the existing holes. The footprint only stops the gas bottle from sliding, it's the straps that provide security.

As the industry is stuck in the past somewhere, the plastic tray is meant to take a Calor or Flogas cylinder or similar. If you want your own cylinder like Safefill (which is slightly larger) with which you can save an awful lot of cash on gas then you would
do well to follow easy T's suggestion so you can make it what size you need to.0 -
