Sewn in ground sheets

hi thinking of buying a vango awning with integrated ground sheet but unsure how restrictive this would be on cc sites esp cl sites which tend to prefer. Has anyone had experience or views on being refused on site due to non breathable awning?

    All awnings damage the grass. One with a sewn in groundsheet could obviously not be lifted and really should never be used on grass.

    I doubt that any CL owner would thank you for it (or even allow it).

    Most tents have one so the other club must allow them. Long time since my tenting days so my sure how they manage them. Even a good breathable ground sheet leaves it's mark

    Some integrated ground sheets are not sewn in but held in place by toggles, so can be unclipped and lifted.

    A not too clever design I have seen on some newer awnings is the ability to roll the window shades DOWN into a pocket at the bottom of the window.   With condensation the pocket will fill, be difficult to dry out, and become a haven for mould and rot.

    and as said before ..... Mine doesn't! grass grows through it

    A commercial site we used regularly as tent-campers manages this by only allowing tents to remain on a grass pitch for a maximum of 4 days. The pitch is then 'rested' until it recovers. For longer stays you have to use hard standing, or move pitch.

    Wouldn't suit either club though as doesn't maximise usage and profitability Frown

    Personally I never use a groudsheet, always found them more bother than they're worth.
