Front end protection for a towed Smart car
Has anyone found a suitable cover for the front of a Smart car to protect it whilst being towed behind the motorhome?

Wouldn't fitting decent mud flaps to the MH do the job in a simpler fashion? I can never recall seeing a toad with a nose bag on.

Thank you. An obvious answer. Have seen many "nosebags" in the US but I had not been able to find a supplier over here.
Which might be why we don't see them here. Seriously, I'd go for the mud flaps and save all the faff of fitting and removing the nose bag each trip. It's unlikely you'll be on many loose surfaces and most stuff that's kicked up will come from your own back

You can buy Smart car covers on ebay (click for link). Wouldn't that do the trick, with perhaps a bit of extra strapping to stop it moving whilst being towed.
There are other cheaper versions available too - from £19.95 - just search for Smart car cover.

,I have a newish Smart 4/2 full cover ,made for my 'pure' model by Protec Covers. This does'nt fit my newer Smart so is up for
grabs to anyone who desires one .0 -
I have mud flaps fitted, it helps but it not the ideal solution to keeping the towed car clean in wet weather. It still gets dirty mainly on the off side as a result of passing vehicles. My solution, a bucket of water and a quick frontal washdown on arrival at site.or if really bad go to the local car wash.

And I still haven't found a cover for my Smarty!!!!
did you try Towbars to Towcars as one of the other members suggested?
I was at there new fabulous premises a few months ago. They really have a great set up with showroom, electrical workshop, fab shop etc and a huge rack full of car bras, so they should be able to sort you out.

..... and a huge rack full of car bras, so ...
Does anyone still buy these things? They used to be the in thing in the States 30 yrs ago
Great for protecting your car from stone chips when being towed behind your Motorhome and probably the most effective. I have tried large mud flaps, brush hanging down the back and now have a tow protector which is a screen which attaches to the under corner
of the Motorhome and front corners of the tow car. It does work but not as good as a car bra. Unfortunately, not much demand for a car bra for a Mercedes SLK so it will have to do, but would prefer a bra if I could get one.0
