Accessing rear steadies

My neighbour caravans and is in his late eighties. He has had knee and hip operations. He finds it difficult to get low enough to see and attach his winder to the rear steadies of his Bailey Unicorn. He asked if there were any extensions to the winding bolt
available to make it more accesible. I know that I have seen metal giude tubes used - not seen extended bolts etc. As for the duide tubes I have no idea as to how they might fit. Any answers? .

    Earlier this year I saw a van with what appeared to be grey plastic kitchen waste pipes as extension pieces.  I assumed the dia was just right to bang on as a snug fit.

    I fitted two pieces of grey waste pipe to the rear steadies on my Clubman. It means that you do not have to bend down to see the nut you simply push the handle or in my case the drill attachment and you cant miss. The pipes are just the right size to push
    over the nut surround and they are just glued in place. Worked well this season.

    Thanks for the responses so far fellas. Chap next door can't bend but can lie down. I have arthritis in the spine but reckon we can sort something. What diameter pipe did you go for Beep?

    Looks expensive for what it is but that is true of most things for the caravan.
