Can anyone reccomend a good place to buy a cover for motorhomes, it will be mainly for winter time when sitting in drive to try keep frost/snow/rain and general dirt off of it when not in use.

totally agree with BB on this one .i would consider a cover a waste of money unless it was layed up for a long time.

Thanks for the responses folks really appreciate it, one i did see was quoted at around £500, really only time it would be laid up for a period of time would be december to end february at most. If its best to run around, then weather dependent can just take it out when visiting family now and again.

OH takes our m'home out at least twice weekly and finds having silver screens quicker to remove in winter than ice on the windscreen - we wouldn't use a full cover as others have said but screens are useful.

I think you have had good advice. I am a caravanner not a motorhomer but would not fit a cover. Our 'van is 'laid up' twice a year from start of October until mid December and again from start of January until near the end of March. If I fitted a cover I
would feel a need to wash the 'van first. I wash and clean van including roof 3 times a year before our 3 main trips. I polish twice a year. After the September I wash the van before December Trip but the roof may be left if weather is bad as cold plays havock
with my arthritis. I certainly would not be wanting to wash van and roof in January! Both my next-door neighbours who was then only going away for or 5 weeks a year used to cover their caravan. Now one has converted a pannel van - cracking job too. The other
who must be late seventies has opted for a paint seal type treatment to make cleaning easier rather than pay out for a cover.
