Roof satellite Strength
I am considering putting a crank up dish on my caravan roof.
I have two concerns:
1)The Maxview has just a flush fitting on the inside and the Telco a bar running down inside the van.
If there is a high wind there is very little attaching it to the roof. Could it rip or damage the roof, and does the bar on the Telco give more strength?
2) What would Elddis think of a hole being drilled into their SOLID construction roof as far as the guarentee is concerned?
Thanks
Derek

Before we had our roof mounted dish fitted I e-mailed Bailey who came back very quickly with the answer that it would be fine. So I would suggest you contact your caravan manufacturer and pose the question to get the definitive answer.

I guess a cost exercise my be useful. How much are roof mounted SAT units fitted and all the other costs involved. This expence might pay for many months of decent data download. The Co-op are currently selling a 24inch Smart TV reasonably cheaply.
