Kampa Rally front legs - problem?

.Having just had a trial set-up with the Kampa Rally pro there does seem to be a bit of an issue with the adjustable front legs and the way they 'locate' on the pins.  I had expected there to be some kind of capping at the bottom of the legs to stop them
sinking into the groud/filling with dirt but the ones on mine are just the hollow legs and the pin fits loosely inside them.

Is this the correct fitting or is a bit missing?  I'm tempted to buy a walking stick ferrule as a cap and just bore a hole for the pin. Unless, of course, I'm missing some bits from the kit.

Hi Sep we have the rally ace 400 and the pins fit the same in our awning very loosely in the bottom of the poles

Thanks Craig - at least I know I've not lost some bits when I opened it up! I'll see if it does sink into the ground when I use it properly for a couple of weeks and if so walking stick ferrules are definitely on my list along with the right sized drill
bit for the 'pin hole'.  My old Bradcot had 'feet' at the bottom so I was surprised to find nothing at all.

I have had a Kampa rally for several years with no problem

Do sometimes have to clear soil from the tubes but soon done

Not considered fitting ferrules but you have to remember that the tubes extend to compensate for ground levels

Thanks MH - years of experience without a problem is a good sign.  I had considered the adjustable leg issue but the 'extension' part sits *outside* the main leg and the ferrule will sit *outside* that so it wouldn't affect operation.
